Crespells Recipe

You are not able to travel on easter?
We deliver the taste of Mallorca to your home by Forn Sant Francesc and inturotel.


Because we miss you and thinking that most of us are going to celebrate this Easter holiday at home, we really want to send you a little piece of our island. We share with you a typical recipe of our gastronomy, the "CRESPELLS", a very old cookie recipe that we cook as a family and give away during these holidays. We wish with all our hearts that you are healthy and happy and enjoy its preparation.


 


Ingredients:
1 egg
70 ml water or orange juice
125 g. sugar
250 g. lard or butter
500 g regular flour


 


Preparation:
Mix all the ingredients. We reserve the flour that we will be adding little by little until we get a homogeneous dough that does not stick to our hands. We let the dough rest for 1h. After that time, the dough is extended with the help of a rolling pin until it is 1 cm thick. Shapes are cut with a cookie sheet and then we bake for 15-20 minutes at 170 degrees, until you see that the tips are golden and the centre is a bit raw. They get finished cooking when cooled!
